🐻Thank you🐻
We would like to Thank you for your cooperation and support over the last 2 Days. We are hopeful we will be able to welcome everybody back tomorrow with our usual opening times. We will monitor the weather towards the end of the week as there is potentially another band of snow approaching but for the next 24 hours at least we will remain above freezing with no predicted snow.

Snow update

🐻❄️Snow update❄️🐻
We currently have only three staff who are able to make it into nursery. We are asking you to stay at home today. If we are able to operate we will be closing early for the safety of Children Parents and Staff. You will be updated with a closing time as soon as we have one. These are the roads on the estate and our car park. Thank you for you understanding

🐻❄️ Snowy Weather ❄️🐻

🐻❄️ Snowy Weather ❄️🐻
We have checked for the forecast and it is predicated to begin snowing at around 4 am. The roads and pavements locally are not gritted. Staff who are able to make the journey will attempt it, but as we do not yet know how hazardous this is going to be until the morning. We will not know how many staff will safely make it in. Will update you around 7 am by text message as soon as management have attempted to walk to nursery. If you can keep your child off it will be appreciated and if we are able to operate we may have to close early for the safety of all people getting home.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Rachel, Melissa and the Girls.

🐻Forest School 2yr-3yrs Old🌳

🐻Forest School 2yr-3yrs Old🌳
Our 2yr -3yr old have enjoyed creating nature collages using the items the have found on the treasure hunt using items such as acorns, leaves, grass and even a snail shell.
They have also being creative with raspberries, they had to ‘bash’ the raspberries to make their own paint and used feathers instead of paint brushes. The children have supported each other to develop their confidence and skills over the past 4 weeks.

🐻Forest School preschool🌳

🐻Forest School preschool🌳
The preschool have been mastering their skills with tools , last week they were using the hand drill to make holes in conkers and threaded them onto the string. This week they have been using the bow saw to make ‘Log Dogs’ and they even ‘walked’ they back to the nursery. We sat the wobbly branch and ‘Flew’ like witches and wizards. We also took time out to observe our environment and talked about what we could see, hear and feel.

🌳🌳 Forest Schools🐻

We are so pleased to announce that we have our very own private and secure Forest School area. Our very own Rachel alongside Kim Hargreaves are our qualified Forest School leaders who have introduced some of our 2 year old’s and preschool children to the wonders of Forest School this week. We have been on a scavenger hunt, the rope swing, climbing in the trees, balancing on the logs, swung in the hammock, traversed the rope walk, made nature crowns and bracelets and explored our fabulous area. This will be extended to more challenging experiences and future children will get to experience the awe and wonder of Forest School.

A huge well done to our pre schoolers who have taken part in our sports day today.

A huge well done to our pre schoolers who have taken part in our sports day today. A lovely celebration of their hard work over the past year with DP Sports & Gymnastics.
Also a huge thank you to Dale, we have thoroughly enjoyed having you lead our weekly sports sessions, teaching children lots of valuable new sporting and team work skills 🐻🌟

Congratulations. Caitlin who works in the Under 2 department, has completed her apprenticeship and is now a fully qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
